Formed in 2009, Go Mordecai is a fresh new sound in the Louisville music scene. Their unique blend of modern electronic pop and ambient is unlike any other artists in Louisville or nationwide. Their first single, Uncertainty, was featured on WFPK's independent music spotlight. After releasing their debut EP "Baseball Weather", Go Mordecai also recorded live, in-studio, acoustic performances for WKEE in Huntington, West Virginia and WFPK in Louisville. Go Mordecai was recently booked to open for The Deloreans and Cloud Nothings (given the title of "Best New Music" by Pitchfork).

Demand for a debut album began as soon as Go Mordecai started playing in Louisville and Lexington, KY, in late 2009. While playing numerous shows in Louisville and all across Kentucky, Go Mordecai completed their debut EP "Baseball Weather" after two years of recording and the album was released in October 2011. The EP was fully recorded by the members of GM and mixed by Trip Barriger in Louisville. Mastering was completed by Carl Saff in Chicago, IL. Many recordings were scrapped along the way, as GM ensured that their debut album was held to the high standards that the band has created for their music.

Go Mordecai is currently working on their first full-length album, to be released in mid-late 2012. The album will feature all-new music from Go Mordecai. Go Mordecai will be tracking the album themselves, as they did "Baseball Weather." For their debut full-length, however, they will be working with Jeremy Perry, of Louisville's The Deloreans, who will be working as a producer/consultant for the album. The recordings and live shows currently being created by GM is sure to become one of the highlights of the Louisville music scene and beyond.
